A Giant Puzzle.

When Mark acquires clocks it's like a puzzle.  Actually, it's like hundreds of puzzles all mixed together.  Often, the pieces don't arrive at the same time, sometimes over days, months or even years.  It's a gargantuan job of identification and categorization. 

In The Shome

The Shome is where it all happens.  It's a shop and it's a home.  These are pictures that show some of the process involved in the restoration of a clock that is now complete.  Hopefully I can come up with a picture that shows how this beauty started.  Also, I'm not Mark.  I'm Lana and I'll be writing about Mark, the Shome and the Journey of a clock.  Thank you Britta Trygstad for some of these awesome pics!

The Clockwerks presents "The Journey of a clock"

This is our first blogging experience and we're really excited!  Mark Schutz began the Clockwerks in 2006 and it is located at 1101 1st Ave. S. in downtown Fargo, ND.  It specializes in sales and repair of fine clocks: antique, vintage and contemporary.  With this blog we will present a view behind the scenes and track a clock's journey from sorry to beautiful.
